The Midland College Chaparrals will host the Frank Phillips College Plainsmen in a 2-day/4-game series Friday-Saturday, April 19-20, 12 noon each day, at Christensen Stadium.
The baseball games are open to the public, and no admission is charged. Fans are encouraged to bring regreshments and snacks to Christensen Stadium and support the Chaparrals!

The Midland College Lady Chaparrals plan to "Pack the Park" as they host the Western Texas College Westerners in a double-header Friday, April 19, begining at 1 pm at the Softball Complex on the MC Main Campus.

12:30 p.m. -- Food service and t-shirt giveaways begin
La Patrona Taqueria LLC food truck will be on site serving tacos and Mexican food for purchase.
The MC Student Government Association will be on site selling waters and sodas as a fundraiser.
12:45 p.m. -- Welcome and introduction of the starting lineups.
12:55 p.m. -- Special employee recognition.
1 p.m. -- Ceremonial first pitch by Richard Lopez, father of sophomore Lady Chap Lauren Lopez

The West Texas Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Midland College are sponsoring the Midland Campus Suicide Prevention Walk. Please consider donating. Funds go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to help those in crisis.

The Midland College Legacy Scholars Program encourages student success and the development of philanthropy and leadership skills. In addition to a full scholarship to cover tuition and fees, the Legacy Program includes benefits such as one-on-one success coaching, accountability for academic success, and building students’ sense of community custodianship.
The Legacy Scholars Program is generously funded by the Abell-Hanger Foundation, Scharbauer Foundation, Helen Greathouse Charitable Trust and Chaparral Foundation. All Midland County high school seniors are eligible to apply for the scholarship, but scholarships and seats in the program are limited based on funding.
This informational meeting is open to high school students and/or their parents to learn more about the Legacy Program, the application process, and Midland College.
Please join the Midland College Legacy Scholars Program in celebrating student achievements including Essay Contest winners, Herbert L. Cartwright Education Continuance Scholarship, and more. Students will also be presenting grant checks to local nonprofits. The program will run 5:30-6:30 pm in the auditorium with a reception to follow in the McCormick Gallery. All are welcome to attend this event!
