Sixty-eight 3- and 4-year-olds zipped up their backpacks and headed to pre-kindergarten at the Pre-K Academy at Midland College (MC) this week. School officially started at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11.

First-generation-college-graduate Lauren Disney has found her passion in helping youth on their spiritual journey. She is now attending seminary and working on a master's degree.
